The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Welder/Fabricator with extensive experience in welding or heavy steel fabrication, to join our growing team based in Kerang, regional Victoria. If you have a passion for what you do and take pride in your finished work, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and fabrication of customer projects, utilising advanced Mig welding techniques.
- Maintain internal quality checks and complete the relevant paperwork to ensure all processing and fabrication meets Kerfab quality standards.
- Follow all company OH&S Procedures.
- Assist in keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Maintain punctuality in regard of start and finish times and work overtime as the job requires to ensure production schedules are met.
- To regard Kerfab Management standards of personal presentation, language and conduct and attitude in dealing with other staff, Kerfab clients and suppliers.
Skills and Experience
- A relevant Trade qualification.
- Proven experience in welding or heavy steel fabrication.
- Understanding of OH&S requirements with experience in the use of relevant machines and their safety requirements.
- Is deadline driven.
- Demonstrated prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Can work autonomously.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Has a can-do attitude, a strong work ethic and be able to work well under pressure
