Extendable Lifting Jib

Extendable lifting jib for adjustable reach and precise load placement

Lifting loads beyond the reach of standard attachments often means working around obstacles or accessing tight spaces. Extendable lifting jib attachments allow operators to position loads further from the machine while maintaining control during lifting and placement.

The Kerfab Extendable Lifting Jib provides adjustable reach through manual or hydraulic extension, allowing the setup to match the task at hand. With options including a 3-stage configuration for lighter loads and a maximum reach of up to 3000 mm, it supports a wide range of lifting applications. A rated swivel hook allows the load to rotate during positioning, helping improve access and placement accuracy.

Kerfab also manufactures a fixed lifting jib and telehandler lifting jib.

Works across different machine setups
With both manual and hydraulic options available, the jib can be matched to different machines and operator preferences.

Safer handling of difficult loads
Bulky or awkward items can be lifted without manual handling. This lowers risk when dealing with oversized materials.

Less machine repositioning
Adjusting the jib length allows operators to reach the load directly, meaning fewer movements and more efficient workflow.

Extendable boom design

The jib arm extends and retracts to suit the task, giving operators the ability to adjust reach without repositioning the machine.

3-stage extension

For jobs that need additional reach, a 3-stage configuration is available. This setup is best suited to lighter loads where extension is prioritised.

High tensile steel frame

Built from high tensile steel, the frame is designed to handle a broad range of lifting demands across site conditions.

Rated swivel hook

A quality rated swivel hook is fitted as standard. It allows the load to rotate freely, improving access when positioning items.

FAQ

What is an extendable lifting jib used for?
An extendable lifting jib is used to lift and position loads beyond the reach of standard attachments like pallet forks. It is commonly used for handling oversized or awkward items and placing them into areas that are difficult to access.
A 3-stage jib is used when additional reach is required beyond standard extension ranges. This setup is typically suited to lighter loads, where extended reach is more important than maximum lifting capacity.
Yes. When fitting a lifting jib to a loader, anti-drop or lock valves must be installed. In some cases, loader management systems and lift charts may also be required depending on site and machine requirements.
